What’s People say about Hidden Cove Outdoor Resort

This is a very picturesque park set on the shores of the 21,200 acre man-made Smith Lake. Park is very spacious and offers a boat ramp, patio/pavilion/picnic shelter on the shore of the lake with steps down to the lakeside. This lake is also known for its excellent record producing bass fishing, tournaments & recreational boating. The pool & pool deck is sunny & clean. Laundry is clean (2 sets of machines) $1.25 wash, $1.00 dry.
There are two sections to this park; we went to the back section to the left, which is not close to the bathroom. Our site was a pull-through and I think most of them are. Full hookups with good electric and good quality water. No pet park but they have a huge field where I was able to let the dogs loose. They have a nice playground. The rec hall was pretty sparse but not much was open when we were there (pool).
Well maintained park. Caters mostly to permeant leased spots that are used on the weekend. Everyone keeps their RV at the campground full time. There are a few transient spots. Boat launch with large dock. Viewing area that is covered and rocks to climb on. Impressive club house. I’m sure this place is rocking on the weekends during the summer. This is a huge park with bunches of water frontage.
There are plenty of places to explore along Hidden Cove RV Resort’s shoreline, as well as local attractions in the area around this North Alabama RV campground. Don’t miss weekend shopping at the Cullman Flea Market or natural attractions like the Ave Maria Grotto, Clarkson Covered Bridge, Crooked Creek Civil War Museum, Natural Bridge, waterfall hikes in nearby Bankhead National Forest, and so much more.
Off the beaten path a bit but well worth the trip, long level pull thru sites, clean bath houses, clean laundry, a beautiful pool, nice spacious clubhouse overlooking an absolutely beautiful lake with great fishing and boating We camped at Hidden Cove RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The closest major city is an hour away (Decatur). Local town has small grocery & Dollar General. The grocery has Wonderful Pizza and wings made on site for carry out plus some other things. There are some local attractions within a reasonable distance. Bankhead National Forest, Natural Bridge of Alabama, Ave Maria Grotto, Smith Lake Dam, Clarkson Covered Bridge, Cooked Creek Civil War Museum, Dismals Canyon, and Huntsville Space Center.
Go to the Clarkson covered bridge. I wish I would have know how nice this place is I would have booked a longer stay. The only reason I didn’t give it a 10 is it didn’t have concrete pad and paved roads.
Arley Son’s grocery store in town has just about everything you need. I was shocked. The prices weren’t that high either.
